Bike Ride to the Sea

....with pretty, green trees arching over the trail and even a bubbling brook dancing along our path.

The children LOVE riding in the chariot, and Adam LOVES toting them around. We road on the Bob Jones bike trail last week, all the way out to Avila. You have no idea what a feat this is for me, me who doesn't believe in physical exertion. Believe it. I rode all the way out there, dirt trails and bumps and all. It really wasn't all that bad, quite enjoyable actually. I had my little ones to follow, and Adam promised me some tasty treat if I made it. Like clam chowder or ice-cream or something like that. Made it I did, and we had a delightful time strolling around Avila-- enjoying the farmer's market, playing a bit in the sand, swinging, and having a motor-oil flavored Doc Bernstein's ice-cream at the Hula Hut (yum!).

It was only on the way back that the discomfort set in. And set in it did. Anyone else have trouble riding a bike since having babies? I don't know if it's my seat or something, but holy moly! The lower regions were having none of it, seriously I could barely make it back. Not to get personal. And yes dear legs, that is what it feels like to exercise a little. I know we don't like it, and severely ache for two days following, but it is good for you. Believe me, you could use some more of it.
