Children...

I was just thinking about what I do all day long. I barely have time to brush my teeth. Seriously folks, my shower is my only alone time and it usually involves two little ones standing outside the shower door chatting away at me, asking me questions and generally making alot of racket. Are all children this engaging?

Like you could make a list of what I do all day and it would go something like this:
walked around picking up toys
made beds
pulled up blinds in the morning
wiped things 321,584,238 times
dressed children
gave children food
pulled blinds down in evening
unmade beds at bedtime

That is what I do. And it can be really frustrating to see a toy be pulled out that you literally just put away or a whole basket full of toys dumped out (!) that you just put away, for that matter. And it's really easy to get into "a mood" of feeling like my life is a waste, I have no time, blah, blah, blah. When it really isn't true.
My life isn't a waste. I have these two precious, adorable little people who are the best. In the west.

I found some words that were written concerning the subject of little ones, and I have to say that I absolutely agree. Greg Olsen writes:

Little children seem to have an inborn goodness; a simple faith and natural desire to be taught and to walk in His light. The light of Christ is given to each, and it shines in their faces. It is a light that shines in a helpful conscience that teaches of right and wrong. It is a light that illuminates their path when the way grows dark. And it is a light that warms their hearts and let's them know that they are loved and always in His sight.

They are a precious gift from our Father in Heaven, these little ones. They may be over-the-top time consuming and mess-makers and much too busy, but oh my, they are worth every second of it.

Cute post. Love the quote and I can't believe how little Annabelle was (I mean she's still pretty small :), but she was just a tiny little thing :)).

Soooo sweet! I love that picture Liv! And the quote makes you really cry. Annabelle is such a dink-a-link, and is so sweet.
