The Days Leading Up to Halloween

James decided early on that he wanted to be a fire-breathing dragon. I wasn't quite sure how I was going to go about making that for him. I found this costume and thought it might work. Even though it is a dinosaur and is a toddler size. When I brought it home, he was thrilled and wanted to wear it every second of every day. Success! He loved the tail and the scary teeth.
The teeth. The tail.

James took this of me and Annabelle. He always wants a try.

Here he is at pre-school on the Friday before Halloween.
They got to wear their costumes and had a little party.

His teachers, Mrs. Saruwatari and Mrs. Kaar

Annabelle seriously wanted to be Cinderella. But all of the Cinderella costumes that we could find were way too big. My sister had let me borrow a super cute ladybug costume, so after a valiant effort on my part to hem up the Cinderella costume and "make it fit", I persuaded her to wear the ladybug costume. I told her that the ladybug costume fit her perfectly, and she has many, many years to be a princess. We got her black tights and Daddy made her little antennae out of pipe cleaners. She was happy! Here she is getting her face painted at the church Halloween Party.

Holding so still.
Dressing up, candy, chili and hot dogs, so happy!!
