Hunting for Eggs

We shared the Easter holiday with my sister's family. Adam and I and our kids spent the night at my parents' in the Santa Cruz mountains. It was gorgeous and chilly and we went for a walk in the evening with the children and the trees spoke to us and the droplets of rain on the leaves sparkled and it was beautiful.

Sunday morning, we met at my sisters house where the Easter bunny had brought treats and eggs for the children to find. They had fun hunting all over my sister's front lawn and backyard. Hunting for eggs was followed up with a scrumptious ham dinner. Good food, oh the delight!

I spontaneously decided to stay the week, being unprepared and unpacked. But hey, I was at my sisters and if you can't borrow clothes at your sisters, where can you?

We had a fun week filled with baseball games and practices, dance class, silly children, struggling to get kids to bed at some decent hour, and watching American Idol together.

And after four solid days spent with my sister, all I must say is this: how in the blazes does anyone have 5 kids all in a row? Jumping jelly beans, they are a handful! But super funny and cute at the same time.

And, I'm really glad I have a sister. We are best friends. We don't always agree, but it doesn't really matter when we don't. Our children have such fun playing together and I really feel like her's are mine. I would do anything for her. She is funny, pretty, sweet, and happy. And you can't get much better than that.
