Kids say and do the funniest things all the time.
My dad tells hilarious random stories like about scout camp when he was 11 years old in 1960-something watching "Creature of the Black Lagoon" and the kid sitting behind him jumped up with the flashlight in his face and freaked my dad out.
My sister leaves on a 10-day 10 year anniversary cruise to Alaska with her hub, leaving her children and yellow lab, Sophie, with my parents.
We are at our friends house for dinner and all the little girls come out dressed up, Annabelle in Minnie Mouse princess ears from Disneyland and a green lace skirt, and my dad says, "oh so pretty, is that what you're going to wear to the Prom someday?". The mental image of that actually happening cracks us all up.
It is oh so great.

We spent Father's Day weekend checking out the Pismo Beach car show (my favorites were the pink T-bird with Elvis and Barbie in the back seat and the VW Bug converted into a snug little camper), playing with our friends the Mallory's, having a campfire and jumping on the trampoline at my parents, and celebrating our wonderful daddy's.
