In The Swing of Things?

Over the past few weeks, James started going to school, piano lessons, and baseball. And both kids started up with swim lessons again.

Our schedule went from completely open to actually having somewhere to be every day. I have to get up before 8:00 and shower and pack lunches and be ready for the day. Its a bit unnerving :).

The kids are having fun though, James is loving school and they both look forward to swim lessons every week. Anna asks me each day if today is swim lessons. She's a little fish! We have school projects coming up: Ellis Island Simulation day and an American Presidents report.

In other news, I cut my hand this evening while cooking dinner. I grabbed at a kitchen towel laying on the counter which unbeknown to me had a metal can lid in its folds. So when I grabbed for it, I squeezed my hand right on the edges of the ragged metal lid. Cut. Ouch! My fingers bled and hurt, but I wrapped them up in band aids and neosporin. One-handed mind you, because of course at that very moment our friends came by on their bikes so Adam was out front talking to them and I was inside profusely bleeding trying to play it cool and pretend like nothing much was going on. With kids running hither tither, a half made smoothie in the blender, meat defrosting all over the counter, lunch boxes and toys strewn down the hallway, and laundry in piles. Hooray for craziness!

And we're off to Disneyland tomorrow! I'm going to go pack now, so I'm out. But in the mean time, here's a picture I took of the kids today in the parking lot at school:
