School Has Begun!

Adam took some time off of work for our last hurrah of summer! I'm so glad he did. We had a great time with our little family, and with extended family as well. We camped & sailed at the lake, went to Disneyland right before our annual passes expired, and had a fun day at the water park celebrating my mom's birthday. Our children are getting big enough to really enjoy things and remember them. These days are what childhood memories are made of, and I sincerely hope they remember the fun little family trips, reading together on the couch in the evenings, getting the chance to conduct the music while standing on a chair and waving a stick during family night, being home schooled by mommy, making treats in the kitchen..... And I hope they don't remember the sighs of impatience because I'm asking them to do something for the 900th time and the lectures about cleaning their room up and such :).

Adam is coaching Jamie's soccer team, and they are having fun!
James started first grade this last week at a Classical Academy in town. They call it a hybrid education because he goes to school for two days and is home three days of the week. We turned our spare bedroom into the school room complete with American flag and chalkboard. I absolutely love all the school books! I am so grateful  for this opportunity: for Adam's job which allows me to stay home and for Heavenly Father who gives me patience in this endeavor.
Because patience is what I need, and I pray for it continually.
Annabelle is going to the same pre-school James did, with the same wonderful teachers.

Here they are on their first day:
Annabelle ready for pre-school
