Friday night, we took the children to the Harvest Festival in our little town. We ate kettle corn, enjoyed live music, and gave in to the children's pleas to jump on the bounce house. They liked climbing the trees too:
Today was filled with church meetings, lessons to teach, assignments, Young Women's things. We seem to be running from thing to thing lately with barely a chance to high-five each other as we pass.
But most evenings, we gather on our couch and read to the children. We finished The Magician's Nephew yesterday which is one of the best children's books ever. The most beautiful part is when Alsan creates the world through song, and the stars join in singing. As we were reading, Jamie kept saying he wished he could see it all in a movie. So we told him we'd read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe next and then watch the movie when we're finished.
Meanwhile, I've discovered Mittens the Kitten's favorite place to lounge as of late. In Anna's dress-up basket:
