My parents have been raving about this beach-front resort for a long time. Apparently, we used to stay there as children when my dad had to work in Ventura for a week. So we all decided to take a couple days and go down for a min-vacation. After checking-in, my mom and I went shopping, and arrived back just in time for complimentary drinks and evening snacks. Then Adam and I took the children for a bike ride along the beach. We swam the rest of the evening.
The next day, Annabelle woke up feeling really sick, poor lady. So we took it easy in the morning, and just ate breakfast and lounged by the pool. She threw up a few times and took a long nap in the hotel. We managed to get her packed up and comfy in the car, and after a quick stop at Von's for some Gatorade, she was feeling a little better.
We went to visit with my grandma who lives in Camarillo. It was so good to see her! My mom and I went in with Jamie, and all the other ladies loved him! They thought he was so handsome with his blonde hair and blue eyes :). They kept saying he looked like their little boys from many years ago. It was a special experience to see her and visit with her.
We stopped at Macaroni Grill for dinner and then we were off for home. Just a quick little trip, but a nice time. The hotel was lovely, Adam and I want to go back for an anniversary trip or something!
