I am in love with the Santa Ynez Valley, Solvang, & La Purisma Mission. Honestly, it is one of my favorite things to do to take a drive & visit this beautiful quiet mission, nestled among oak trees & wildflowers. What a peaceful setting.
The children & I went there for their homeschool day. The Mountain Men were riding through on horseback, and we were able to see them & watch them prepare for a feast in the old dining room.
James & Anna ground some wheat by hand, and then we enjoyed some bread from the outdoor oven with fresh butter. It's definitely rustic!
What a wonderful time we had!
