The Holidays...

Adam's family came for Thanksgiving....we had a houseful, and we loved it! Tons of good food & good times. We took everyone to a local secret gem, the Melodrama's Christmas show. We all had so much fun together!

We were sick for most of December. Every time we got better, another one of us would come down with something again. I can't remember us ever being that sick for so long before. I wasn't able to get Christmas cards on time or shop or get presents sent out or decorate really well. So frustrating lying there in bed, knowing there's so much to be done, and not being able to move. It was a lesson in gratitude for a usually healthy body, for sure.

We spent Christmas with my family here. James was sick for most of it & I was just getting over the worst flu, but we pulled through with much love & laughter along the way.

And now, here we are a week into January & Christmas break is almost over. We've spent the break taking time to rest & get better, watching movies & reading every night, taking the kids to lunch wherever they wanted to go, & playing all day together.
What a joyful, beautiful season it has been with all our family.

It truly is a wonderful life!
