What I Did This Weekend:

This weekend was spent with my family. Lounging about with Adam, enjoying him being home for FOUR WHOLE DAYS and loving up my two sweet children.

Friday, we cleaned. It was much needed, let me tell you. And we even got brave and re-arranged some furniture in our little living space. We abide in a tiny condo near the ocean, in a small town where I was raised. I love my town. I love my ocean. And I love this tiny little home we have lived in for 4 1/2 years. We moved in here when I was pregnant with James, from our first little one bedroom apartment, so that we would have another room for a nursery. We've brought our babies home to this tiny abode and have watched them learn to crawl, walk, sit by themselves at the table, use the potty, and play in these rooms. We didn't intend to stay this long. We were supposed to buy a house somewhere along the way. Now there are so many memories here. But, it is definitely time to move on. It is time for an upgrade, if you will. More rooms, more space, a backyard is an essential desire.

But for now, we re-arranged our furniture. Trying to get the most from our little space.

And then we had my parents over for dinner to show them the newly laid-out room.

Saturday evening we went out to dinner with my parents and my grandma to Chili's to celebrate James' 4th birthday. Afterwards, we went and got a sundae at Doc Burnstein's again. You might say its excessive to go twice in a two-week period. Oh, but it's so fabulously delicious. And how can you resist the choo-choo train making its way along the ceilinged track and nostalgic decor? I'm pretty sure we are addicted.

Before putting the children to bed, we danced in our newly-arranged living room to a little Colbie Calait. We turned it up high and took turns twirling the kids. I have to admit, Adam even twirled me.

It's a good way to tire the children out, right?
