The Lyman's Life.

Today is Miss Annabelle Sue's birthday.

She is turning the magical age of 2.

James, Annabelle, and I took a train ride up to San Luis, because she really, really likes trains or rather anything that goes. (She does have an older brother, after all.)

We had an hour and half to wait in San Luis, so I promptly put Anna in the stroller and we strolled on down the hill toward downtown. Destination: Firestone's for lunch.

But as we passed Gus' sandwich shop, I had an inkling to go in... and get a sandwich. So we did.

Gus' is a very good little delicatessen, and as we sat out on the patio under the shade of blooming trees, I had a thought. Two years ago, Adam went and got Gus' sandwiches while I was in the hospital having Annabelle. They sounded so good, and my mom and Adam and I ate them while I was in labor. Two years ago today. And there we were having a sandwich at Gus'.

Now I know why I had an inkling to go inside.
