Countdown to Thanksgiving Day

I am thankful for my family.

here we are (minus my brother james) at Lopez Lake, enjoying a day sailing and hanging out on the beach.

this is at the Capitol in Austin, Texas.

I was born into a wonderful family, and I don't know how I got so lucky. My mom and dad are genuine, kind-hearted people without an ounce of guile or malice in their souls.

this is my mom and sister and i with my grandma and our girls.

My sister Kristen is cheerful, and can manage anything. She is such a go-getter! And James, my brother, is funny, happy, and very nice. The thing I love about both of them is that they are extremely good. They would never do anything wrong-- to another person or to themselves. They aren't even tempted by it. I think this has been important, as their sister, because they've been a great example to me throughout my life.


They are all an example of just exactly what a person should be like.
