We had some friends and my parents over for dinner on Sunday evening. The Mallory's made Adam this awesome cake: a Lido 14 sailboat. Because that is what Adam has. The Salas' brought Natalie's Guatemalan grandmothers special rice. And my parents brought Tamales and salad. I made enchiladas, both green and red. It was a delicious Mexican feast! Which works, since Adam's favorite dish is Mexican food.
The kids had fun playing and going crazy. Annabelle loves the Mallory's little girl, Janessa. Anna is in awe of her because she is such a big girl, she always says, "Janessa is 8 and she's been baptized!". Janessa is really sweet with Anna, playing with her and being so patient.

Tony brought his guitar and played for us. He is so good! There is nothing like live music filling the room. When my mom was a young girl, she taught herself to play the guitar on her grandfather's Martin, and he gave it to her before he died. She has always cherished it. Tony's guitar was a Martin, and my mom loved listening to it. Guitars really are one of the most expressive instrument's.
All in all, a good birthday, dampened only by the fact that Adam spent the next week in bed sick. Too much partying, I guess.
