On June 2, James finished up pre-school with a graduation ceremony. His class sang songs for the parents, received their certificates, and then threw their caps in the air! It was pretty much the cutest thing ever.
James has had a fantastic year in pre-school. He has learned to recognize and write his letters and numbers. He has so enjoyed their themes each week-- learning all about bugs, dinosaurs, farm animals, ocean life, etc and doing the Friday cooking project. His teacher, Mrs. Saruwatari started out teaching Uncle James 17 years ago when he went to pre-school, and is a good family friend. Mrs. Kaar has an adopted daughter from China, and during the school year, spent a week visiting China with her daughter. She brought all the kids home little China bear Christmas ornaments! James is excited to put it on the tree at Christmastime. He has loved both of his teachers and making friends. What fun!
