Insight of a Three Year Old

We're up in Utah right now. Fifth wheeling it with my parents. It only took us like 100 hours to get here, driving in the truck pulling the fifth wheel. And the children chanted "mama" or "dadda" every 3 seconds for the duration. But we made it. Thanks to chocolate chunk cookies and my delightful mix of country music playing on the ipod. Nothing can bring you down when that's going. We are having a smashing time playing with my brother in Provo at BYU, visiting Adam's folks up in Logan, shopping, swimming.

We rode the ATV's up the canyon yesterday.

We stopped at a vista point where the mountains opened up and we could see for ever in all directions. Annabelle began to comment on the beauty of the scene. "Its all so pretty. We should make a dress!" Adam asked her, "make a dress out of what?" She replied, "out of the sky and the mountains, it's so pretty."

Going down the mountain on the ATV's, we came to a point where you could see the whole valley below. Annabelle exclaimed, "It is incredible! Can you even imagine?" I stopped to take it all in, leaned down and whispered to her, "it is beautiful Anna, look at the green grass and the pretty houses and I bet there are alot of flowers down there too."

She pointed to a red barn in the distance. "And the red cherry barn. I like that best."

She and I sang songs all the way down the mountain , as loud as we could over the roar of the engine. I Am a Child of God and I'm Trying to be Like Jesus rang out through the hills. We sang my favorite which goes like this:

Whenever I hear the song of a bird or look at the blue, blue sky.
Whenever I feel the rain on my face or the wind as it rushes by.
Whenever I touch a velvet rose or walk by a lilac tree,
I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heavenly Father created for me.

He gave me my eyes that I might see the color of butterfly wings.
He gave me ears that I might hear the magical sounds of things.
He gave me my life, my mind, my heart, I thank him reverently
For all his creations of which I'm a part.
Yes, I know Heavenly Father loves me.

Anna is so very cute and that I love the description of the Red cherry barn. I think Meg would agree about making a dress out of something so beautiful.
