Home Again, Home Again Jiggety Jig

We have been in Utah for six weeks! Adam was with us for the first 2 1/2 weeks, then flew home while the children and I stayed with my parents. We camped in their fifth wheel trailer, driving around in my dad's new truck. It was so fun!

We spent the first week in Provo, getting my brother James settled in at BYU. We stayed at Lakeside RV Park, swam in the pool everyday and became good friends with the people camping next to us.
Adam and I and the kids went up to Logan to stay with Adam's parents. We love staying in their awesome basement-- eating the delicious food Adam's mom makes, spending time with Adam's brother and his wife, playing with cousins, having Aggie ice-cream, and riding the ATV's up the canyons. It is so beautiful and peaceful there.
On one ride, we found a waterfall that we all had to drink from and splash in. The kids and Adam climbed the rocks near the waterfall and we ate a snack before riding back down the canyon.

My parents came up and we went to Bear Lake for the weekend. While there , we rented a boat and went all over the lake. We went tubing and jumped off the boat and swam in the water. It was cold, but such clear turquoise water!

They were having "western days" at Bear Lake with ax throwing. So Adam and I gave it a try. Adam, of course, excelled and threw it dead center every time. Me, not so much, but I get an A for effort, right?

After dropping Adam off at the airport in Salt Lake, we came back down to Provo. We took a day trip to Mirror Lake. We hiked around the entire lake and had a picnic.

We went to Gardner Village in West Jordan and ate at a yummy restaurant, Archibald's. It is an old mill with little shops decorated for Halloween with witches and such. The toy shop and doll store were the highlights for my children, while the mud pie which was heaven in my mouth was the highlight for me :).

We had a fun time relaxing in Provo. Going to the dollar theater, getting BYU Creamery ice-cream, going to BYU woman's soccer games, my mom and I were able to go the temple while my dad watched the children, eating out, and shopping.
"Y" Mountain: the view from our trailer at Utah Lake.

We left Sunday evening at 7:17 after going to Conference in Salt Lake, and arrived home at 7:38 in the morning. My dad drove us all night long, what a trooper! We had a grand time in Utah but are happy to be home once again.
p.s. do you like how I'm wearing my USA sweatshirt in every picture? It was the only one I brought and it was cold up at Bear Lake!
