Adam and I took the children to the water park. It is so fantastic only having two children because our chaos is controlled. There are two of them and two of us, we are on equal terms. It is frightening to think if they outnumbered us. What would we do :)?
Anyhow, we had a super fun time all together. They are our best friends and we all get along so well. It is great. Annabelle's favorite part of the day was sharing an inner tube with her dad on the lazy river. Such skinny-minnies fitting side to side in a small inner tube. James' favorito part was the wave pool and rather liked to take off on his own, diving under the waves and giving his parents a general heart attack every 5 seconds. But luckily, we all made it out alive and had a delightful time!

We finished up the day with some Good Ol' Burger where we devoured beer battered onion rings the size of my fist. As a side note, we sat by the cutest family of three darling little girls with their good-looking daddy. I wondered and worried where these precious girls' mother was and hoped they were not mother-less for I was about to adopt them on the spot if they were (father and all). THEN in walks the mommy who was the sweetest, simplest girl with light blonde hair and none other than a newborn baby boy bundled in her arms. She'd been feeding him out in the car. All concerned thoughts out the window, I stared at this little family and secretly wished for more babies. It wasn't uncontrolled chaos after all! Here they were, this family of four little ones and two parents, and they were as well-behaved and lovely as any family I've ever seen. They even said a prayer before their meal.

As we left, I admired the baby and asked the pretty mommy his name. It was Matthew, because she loves Bible names. He was 5 weeks old. She was radiantly happy, as all we mommy's should be.

And it made me think. Whether it's two or four or ten children that you have, the outcome is all in your attitude. Simple, peaceful, grateful, and happy. That's the recipe I'm working on.
