James spent the last week at Cub Scout Day Camp. Grandpa and cousin Jordan were both going, so I was talked into signing James up too. He was the only Tiger cub there, and was the youngest boy in the whole camp but he had the time of his life! The boys were able to shoot BB guns, learn archery, spend a whole day at the water slides, and rock climb. Grandpa was the hike master and took each den on hikes every day.
I volunteered at cub day camp as a teenager when my little brother was a Cub Scout. I spent all week with my brother and my dad up at camp and it was fun. It was really neat to be back there, this time with my little boy!
James' den named themselves the Gummy Knights and this is their cheer they made up all by themselves:

Nonsensical, yes, but what would you expect from 6-7 year old boys? The other dens were: the rabid squirrels, soaring eagles, the alligators..... and James has all of their cheers memorized too. They are crazy, silly, and total goof balls, but oh so much fun!
