While visiting my in-laws in Utah, I like to scour their bookshelf for something interesting to read.
And I always find something.
This time I found a book called, Thoughts For An LDS Mother, written in 1967.
There is a section about becoming a better wife & these words by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow struck me:
Though she bends him, she obeys him,
Tough she draws him, yet she follows,
Useless each without the other.
Wednesday was our anniversary- March 28th. I've been going through some pictures, and found these gems from our first years of marriage & when our babies were tiny.
First Christmas married, 2003
Summer in Utah, I've got Anna in my tummy!
Anna at 6 weeks & James at 2 years
Anna's blessing day
Sailing, swimming & playing at the lake, 2007
As the poem says, useless each without the other.
In a way, that's how I feel: Adam completes me.
I can't believe how blessed & lucky I was to meet Adam.
The moment he walked into that kitchen in the institute at Cal Poly, and met my eyes across the room, I knew.
He was the one for me.
