Camp French to Lopez Lake

On New Year's Day, we drove up to one of our favorite places, Camp French, & rode our bikes over to Lopez Lake. It was a perfect ride! We picnicked, walked around the shores of the lake, and climbed the trees at Camp French. And yes, I'm wearing Anna's "Olivia the Pig" pink & red school backpack. Don't know how that one was the one picked to bring, but in any case, I'm sure I looked awesome riding around with it on my back.

 There is rumor going around that Camp French might have to close due to lack of Boy Scout funds. It would be a terrible loss, this is where the boys go to Cub Scout day camp in the summer & it's such a beautiful, happy place with many family memories for me. I immediately made a donation to the Los Padres council & hopefully it will, in a small way, help to keep this treasure open for us to enjoy. Because the alternative is having Cub day camp at the church, which would be a major bummer. Entirely unacceptable in my opinion :).
