On Friday, after school, we took the kids to the beach & hiked all over the dunes. James & Anna led us all over, up to the top of a dune, to take in the breathtaking view, and then down again into the sand. We came upon the river, and they played for hours in the water. In fact, they were pretty sure that they discovered oil & we were all going to be rich. I'm pretty sure they would've set up camp & stayed the night right there if we had let them.
Then on Saturday, we hiked the Johnson Ranch Trail with the whole family since James was home visiting for the weekend.

| Anna's ponytail looks like James has one of those rat-tail hairdo's from the '80's, it's quite disturbing. Except we all know it can't be because I would NEVER allow such a thing :). |
It felt good to be out in nature, enjoying this beautiful weather!
