I've Been Writing This Post Since August...

Yes, that's correct. Since August. So that should give you an idea of how busy this mama is! But in any case, since things are better late than never, I give you: The Summer of 2017. Which shall be deeemed: "The Summer That Was Much Too Short".

It just flew by! But we had a delightful time while it lasted....

It all started out with a visit from Adam's older brother, Mark, & cousin Ava. We kayaked, hiked, cooked yummy food, and just generally explored & enjoyed the early days of summer.

Next up was Scout Camp! Too fun!!

We got away for a few days & camped at Bass Lake. So beautiful & relaxing! That mountain air & swimming in the sparkling blue lake were absolutely delightful!

While at Bass Lake, we made our way into Yosemite. More delighting in nature!

Anna has joined Girl Scouts! She is a Junior & loving her Troop! We spent a week at GS Day Camp, which ended up being the same one I attended back in the day, with the same camp director! Dejavu! James volunteered too & earned service hours, and everyone was thrilled to have a Boy Scout there!

My sis, Kristen, and kids came to visit for a week in July. We packed as much fun as we could into those days together!

We popped up to Utah for a last minute visit before school started. We had such fun with Grandma & Grandpa, and playing & kayaking in the water with cousins & having raspberry shakes at Bear Lake.

Adam took the kids up the canyon on Grandpa's razor. Thrilling! Oh beautiful Utah, how we love you.

And now, we are all-involved with school projects, homework, early-morning basketball practice & Babes in Toyland rehearsal. Busy as can be!
And delighting in all things Fall, with Halloween tomorrow!

But going through these pictures & reminiscing about our summer makes me yearn, just a bit, for the lazy, long days of summer :).
