Can you tell it's Autumn?

A happy boy

In the maze for small children
.
I'm pretty sure we went on the hottest day of the year. It was 5,000 degrees or something like that.

Sunny much

And sitting together in a really big tire. Jamie actually has his arm around Anna, can you believe it? Maybe that older brother caring for his little sis that everyone keeps telling me about is going to kick in someday soon. :)

It's "the outage" right now. This means that Adam is working a long, ridiculous schedule six days a week that is exhausting (for him and me). So, before the outrageous outage (aren't I funny?), we went on a little family outing to the barn. We took it all in: fed the animals, bought some produce, perused the delightful country store, played with the toys for sale, enjoyed some ice-cream, and popped about the maze. We went with the intention to take a hayride, but they were only allowing kids that were there on a field trip to go. It was really annoying to watch all the pushing and shoving kids pile on the hayride and take off, returning with a pumpkin and a bag of freshly picked apples each. And then it was even more annoying when all bazillion of them decided to follow us around from pen to pen looking at the animals. Pushing and shoving some more and shouting at the animals. Oh well, it was fine. I guess kids just get really excited when they are on a field trip.

Alright, I guess that's it. Kids are in bed, I'm off to read or watch a movie or just lay on my bed and stare at the ceiling for awhile enjoying quiet. Good night!
