on march 28, 2003 i married adam lyman. which was super awesome because he's really nice and really cute and a really good daddy and i like him alot.
alot alot.
so for our eight year anniversary, my parents took the kids over the weekend while we went and did my two favorite things: shopping and going out to eat. we stopped at costco to get a chocolate almond ice-ream bar (delish, i hope they never get rid of them), shopped in downtown slo, and then shared sizzling rice soup and chicken fried rice at mandarin. sitting at the same table we always sit at, right by the window. after that, we got candy at alberston's and went to a late night movie. what a treat!
monday was our actual anniversary, and we spent it together as a family. we took james and anna to the beach to swing on the swings and to fly our kite. we told them all about the day we were married: the oakland temple and our reception. i described my dress to annabelle and told her how i felt like a princess. she was entranced.
being married really is wonderful. sometimes it seems kind of ridiculous that i was married so young, at 20. and you might say i'm tied down by a husband and children, i can't travel or have experiences in the world. but if i'm going to be stuck, i'd like to be stuck with adam lyman. forever and ever.
